When the QuickBooks application's behavior is unusual, we can perform basic troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue with the cookie prompt in your program, Cameron.

Here's how:

For IOS:

  1. Tap on the Settings icon and then choose General.
  2. Click on iPhone Storage and choose the QuickBooks Online (QBO) app.
  3. Tap on the Offload App to refresh the app's data.

For Android:

  1. Open your phone's Settings.
  2. Select Application
  3. Look for the QBO app.
  4. Tap the clear data to reset the app to its initial state.

If the issue persists, you can uninstall and reinstall the app. This is to ensure the version you'll be using is updated.

Thanks for the speedy response. However, I should have mentioned that I'm running the desktop app on Windows 11. Also, the app defaults to full screen upon opening every time too. I'm looking but can't see a way to clear any data on this version.

Thank you for reaching out again and providing more details about your experience with the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Desktop app, @Cameron-McDade. I've got some information and suggestions, and we'll tackle each of your concerns step by step. Let's make your experience with the app smoother and more efficient.

Since you've accepted the QBO Desktop app's cookie permission, you shouldn't have the prompt again. A possible cause of this case can be your computer's cookie permission settings. Some devices automatically delete cookies upon closing, which could explain the daily prompts. I suggest updating your computer's setup to address the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Settings in your Windows computer.
  2. Type "Cookies" in the search bar.  image (58).png
  3. Select the option to manage cookies and enable or allow cookies for installed apps.

This step can impact the app's performance on your computer. To help you manage this process, please check out Intuit's Cookie Policy. It outlines how Intuit utilizes cookies across its various platforms, including websites, products, mobile applications, co-branded services, and other offerings. While this article is for users in the United States (US), it's also relevant worldwide.

Next, regarding the full-screen mode, each time you launch the app. You may want to switch displays to better suit your preferences and work style. You can easily toggle between Standard QuickBooks Online view and Desktop view options on the app's dashboard.

Furthermore, clearing an app's data may result in a loss of essential information and other personalized settings. If you wish to proceed, you can do so by uninstalling and then reinstalling the QBO Desktop app.

For more detailed guidance on the features, functionality, and usage of the app, I recommend reviewing this article: Everything you need to know about the QBO Desktop app.

To maintain balanced and accurate financial records in QBO, you can reconcile your account through the app or the web version. All your information and activities remain synced across these access points.

I hope this information helps address your concerns about the QB app, @Cameron-McDade. If you have any questions as you implement these suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your experience is important to us, and we're here to support you every step of the way.
