I’ can’t transfer data from quickbooks Self-Employed to online

My main goal is to ensure you can migrate your self-employed data. Let's work together to achieve this.

First, I'd like to know if you encounter any error messages when moving your data to QuickBooks Online (QBO). Sharing additional details about the steps you've taken and the issue you've experienced would be greatly helpful in providing accurate solutions.

We have two options for transferring your self-employed data to QBO. We can do this automatically in the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) Gear icon or manually switch from QBSE to QBO.

Since you've already set up your QBO account, I recommend moving your data manually to avoid duplicating your subscription. Here's how:

  1. First, download all your QuickBooks Self-Employed transactions.
  2. Then, manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. Otherwise, you can connect your bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online and download your transactions.
  3. After that, you can cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription to prevent getting charged.

For more details, please see this article: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online.

Once done, I encourage browsing our Getting Started Guide article to set up your company file and learn how to navigate the program to keep your books running smoothly.

Please let me know in the comment section if you have any other concerns or follow-up questions about switching subscriptions, migrating data, and learning the QBO features. My team and I are always ready to assist.
