Insufficient Permissions

Hi

I have recently purchased Quickbooks online through my accountant and they set up the basic company details. i am now trying to get used to using it, but am having problems when it comes to creating invoices. If I try to edit the template at all, it won't allow me to save and gives the error message - 'you do not have permission to edit company settings'. I have contacted my accountant who has checked that I have full permissions, but i'm still having the same issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Insufficient Permissions

Hi there, SpartanRentals.

Welcome aboard to the Online Community. I’m here to guide you on the right path, so you can edit the invoice template.

This error message occurs when you don’t have sufficient permission to make some changes to the account or specific functionalities in QBO. I suggest contacting your accountant and change the user role to company administrator.

This way, you’ll have access to all areas of the company file. For more in-depth information about user types and their roles, check out this article: User types and permissions.

The information I provided should help you get back to business in no time.

Reach out to me if you have additional questions about QBO. Please know I’m always ready to answer them.
