Hi there, Richard. In QuickBooks Online, the best way to see a line-by-line list of transactions for a nominal account is by running a report directly in the Chart of Accounts and selecting a Transaction Detail by Account report.
To do this, just go to All apps > Accounting > Chart of Accounts, and click Run report in the upper right corner of your screen. If you want to modify the data, just click Customise. Once you're good with the layout, click Save as, then Save.
To quickly view transactions for a specific nominal account, locate it in your list, click the drop-down menu next to Account history, and select Run report.
To capture a more comprehensive view of your data, you can refine your search to include full transaction details in the Reports menu. Simply go to Reports > Standard Reports, then search for Transaction Detail by Account. You can also tailor the report by clicking Customise. Then click Save as > Save.
