Is there any news about UK Quickbooks connecting with HSBC Bank?

Hello there, Jim,

For now, our engineers provided a workaround to upload a .CSV file. You can download the transaction directly from your bank account, and import it to QuickBooks Online.

Check out this article for the detailed steps: Import bank transactions using Excel CSV files.

Furthermore, you can exclude the duplicate transactions once the connection is working.

  1. Click Banking on the left pane.
  2. On the Banking page, select the For Review tab.
  3. Select the checkboxes of the transactions to exclude.
  4. From the Batch actions drop-down, choose Exclude Selected.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Is there any news about UK Quickbooks connecting with HSBC Bank?

Hi Sarah,

Im afraid i cant wait any longer.

There are payments made to our bank from our customers which are not allocated to their invoices.

Customer accounts are showing open invoices that they have paid over a week ago.

Is there any way to manually input these into QB?

If yes, what will happen once HSBC connection is up an running again and all dulicate transactions are downloaded?

Many thanks for your help

Is there any news about UK Quickbooks connecting with HSBC Bank?

Hi there, maritahowell.

Yes, I'll provide additional information to clarify issues in connecting HSBC bank with QuickBooks.

As mentioned by my colleagues above, the issue of being unable to connect HSBC bank to QuickBooks has been reported as an ongoing issue. Our Product engineers are now working to fix this as soon as possible.

I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support team, so they can add you to our notification list. This will help our engineers determine the number of affected users. And, you'll then receive an email notification once we resolve the issue.

Here's how to contact them:

1. Open your QuickBooks Account.

2. At the top right, click the Help icon.

3. Click Contact Us.

4. Under What can we help you with?, enter your concern about connecting HSBC bank.

5. Click Let's Talk.

6. You'll be routed into the Choose a way to connect with us page.

  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.
  • Ask the community to get help from businesses like yours.

7. Select how you want to contact them and fill in the information.

In the meantime, I recommend manually importing your transactions so that your bank entries will add to QuickBooks Online: You can follow the steps provided above or click this article to see the detailed steps: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

After that, you can check this article on how to review your downloaded transactions to ensure your financial records are accurate and to avoid double entries: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

In case you noticed you’re not getting the latest transactions, please open this article on how to resolve this: What to do if bank transactions won’t download or there's a bank error. This also provides information on how to fix different banking errors.

Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. Wishing you and your business continued success.

Hello,

Do we have any news yet on the fix?

It is still a real inconvenience, and i have half a mind to contact QB for some kind of discount or credit due to the issues it is creating.

Regards

Hi Jim,

We're aware that this issue has been causing inconvenience to our clients. I can assure you that your engineers are still working with the bank to get this fixed.

In the meantime, please consider the option to upload your transactions. That way, you can manage your books while waiting for the fix. You can do this twice a week or once a week, depending on the number of transactions you process.

Thank you for your patience.

Is the "permanent fix" for the HSBC-QB connection (not the. CSV uploaded) , referred to in this string of articles, now in place, and if so, how do we implement it, as we are doing it manually? Tony

This issue is still being investigated, ASF.

As of this time, we're unable to provide a permanent fix to resolve this concern. With that being said, I'd suggest reaching out to our Chat support team so you'll be notified through E-mail once a permanent fix is available.

Let me guide you with these steps:

  1. From the ? Help icon, click Contact Us.
  2. Enter INV- 44117.
  3. Click Let's talk.
  4. From there, select Start a chat.

In the meantime, you can manually upload the transactions into your QuickBooks account. This way, you can still keep track the transactions on your account.

Then, once the investigation is resolved, you can exclude the duplicate transactions. Here's how:

  1. From the Transactions tab, select Banking.
  2. Go to the For Review tab.
  3. Select the checkboxes of the transactions to exclude.
  4. From the Batch actions drop-down, choose Exclude Selected.

We appreciate your patience while we're still working to resolve this issue with HSBC bank. Stay safe always!
