My balance is not updating

Hi, @ang-bell. When you say your balance is not updating, are you referring to QuickBooks or your actual bank balance? Any additional details will help me provide the best solution.

 

In the meantime, here are a few things to keep in mind. QuickBooks acts as a receiving party and downloads transactions only after they are officially posted. Most feeds update every 24 hours, but they can occasionally pause.

 

If that happens, you need to run a manual update to refresh your bank connection and pull the latest transactions:

 

  1. Navigate to the Accounting tab.
  2. Choose Bank transactions.

  3. Select the bank tile and then click the Update button located in the top right corner.

 

If that doesn't do the trick, log in to your actual bank's website to ensure there are no security alerts, maintenance, or notifications requiring action. Sometimes, a simple New Terms of Service pop-up or a security alert on their end can block the platform from downloading your bank data.

 

As a workaround, you can always export your transactions as a CSV file from your bank and upload them manually into QuickBooks.
