My phone (the mileage tracker is too inaccurate!). This has been working fine until a few days ago. Now, whenever I click the 'add a business trip' button in the App, a webpage opens showing a man a dog with the words 'page not found, return to homepage'.

I want to make sure your mileage tracker will work again so you can get back up and running, @AO1983.

As long as you’ve enabled the Auto-tracking feature within the QuickBooks Self-Employed app, the program should automatically track your trips. To isolate this, let's perform some basic troubleshooting steps such as, resetting the app's data, uninstalling and reinstalling it, and some others to rectify the issue.

Please refer to the steps below for your guide.

In the app itself:

    • Android: From More Options ⋮, select Settings and click Refresh Data, and then tick Yes.
    • iOS: From the Menu ☰, select Help & Feedback, select Refresh Data, and then select Refresh.

In your device Settings:

    • Android: From your device's Settings, select Apps (varies by device), choose QuickBooks app from the list, and then tick Storage. Finally, hit clear data.
    • iOS: From your device's Settings, select Setting General iPhone Storage and choose an app that's taking up a lot of space. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.

If the issue persists, try uninstalling/ reinstalling the app. Here's how:

  1. Go to the home screen of your device.
  2. Hold down the QuickBooks app until the option to uninstall shows up.
  3. Tap to uninstall the app.

To re-install the app:

  1. Go to the Play Store (for Android devices) or App Store (for IOS devices).
  2. Search for the QuickBooks app.
  3. Tap Install.
