Hi there, Denise. The reason you see Debtors is due to the regional settings of your account. QuickBooks uses British terminology for certain regions, such as the UK, Australia, or South Africa.
In QuickBooks Online, Debtors and Accounts Receivable have the same meaning; they both represent the money your customers owe you.
You can change the term to Accounts Receivable by going to your Chart of Accounts. Locate the account labeled Debtors, then click the dropdown arrow next to View Register. Select Edit to change the name to Accounts Receivable, then click Save.
