Postcode displaying as two characters

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows why on my Invoices & Quotes that my County (Surrey) displays as SR?

I thought maybe there was some setting that could be changed? It looks like the how the US display postcodes but I can't see a language option anywhere to change this to the UK format.

Thanks in advance

Ross

Postcode displaying as two characters

Thanks for checking in with us, Ross Clode.

If you are from Surrey, the Sunderland (SR) postcode will automatically be reflected on your sales forms (invoice and quote). However, you can change the postcode if you belong to a different county address.

Just go to the Master form template then enter the correct address and ensure the letters SR are not entered. For more details, follow the steps below:

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Custom Form Styles.
  3. On the Custom Form Styles page, tick Edit on the Master form type.
  4. Choose the Content tab.
  5. Tap the Header part of the sample form.
  6. Tick the Address link. Then, enter the address and postcode.
  7. Press Done.

Then, try creating a transaction to see the correct address information reflected on an invoice.

If the same thing happens, let’s try performing some browser troubleshooting steps. To start, try accessing QuickBooks Online (QBO) using the incognito mode or private browsing. This turns off extensions and add-ons that interfere with the application.

Here are the shortcut keys for each browser.

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If the invoice will show the correct address, clear your browser's cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. Overtime collection of data can create corruption, but removing this should fix the issue. You can also use other supported browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

Visit our Manage Customers and Income page for more insights about managing customer transactions.

These steps should get you pointed in the right direction. I'm just one click away if you need a hand with creating recurring transactions or any QBO related. You have a good one.
