Under payment details every time I enter £ it replaces it with ?

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here, userfordfloors.

I'd like to help, but I need more details about your concern. When you say payment details, are you trying to record payments for bills or invoices? You can add a sample screenshot of the page you are working on. Just make sure to grayed out any sensitive information. This way, we can check what's causing this behavior and help us come up with the steps to resolve your issue.

I'll be standing by for your response.

so ive tried to enter a photo of what i mean but it doesnt seem to want to upload,

on my invoices i ask for a 50% deposit, I enter this amount in the payment details drop down, obviously i use a '£' symbol, quickbooks keeps converting this to a '?' symbol, so when i send the invoice it looks like im asking for ?500.00 not £500.00

Hello @userfordfloors,

There are times that your browser is full of frequently-accessed page resources, thus causing websites, like QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), to act weirdly. This can be the reason why you're unable to send invoices with the correct UK pound sign.

Let's consider logging into your QBSE account using a private or incognito browser so we can isolate this issue. To do so:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

If this works, you can clear your regular browser's cache so the system can start fresh. But if you get the same results while using a private browser, use a different browser app instead.

Additionally, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Help Articles for QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know by leaving any comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand.
