Recent product issues in QuickBooks Online

 

Here is where you will find known issues in QuickBooks and where we'll keep you updated: 

 

Metro Bank UK 

Description : When attempting to add a new connection or update new transactions the following error message appears: 'Sorry, we can't update your account right now. Wait a few hours and try again (163)'  

Update : Please monitor this page for updates.  

 

PayPal - Foreign Currency Transactions 

Description : Foreign Currency Transactions against PayPal accounts are not converted to GBP in QuickBooks.  

How to get this resolved: 

1. Exclude these transactions when you review these in QuickBooks or QuickBook Self-Employed.

2. Manually add these or via a CSV file with the correct amount.

Update : We are working to improve this functionality, please monitor this page for further updates.

 

PayPal Fees

Description : PayPal fees are not included in the bank feed.  

How to get this resolved : We are working with PayPal to resolve this issue. In the meantime, please add these transactions manually into QuickBooks.

Barclays

Error messages: 

"Something unexpected happened and we couldn’t connect to your bank. Try again in a few hours (101)" 

"There's a problem with this account connection. We're having trouble getting your bank data. Please try again later (355)

Description : Customers may see this message when attempting to add a new connection or update new transactions 

How to get this resolved : This may be a temporary error at the bank and may self-resolve in a couple of hours. Please retry to connect your account or add your new connection after 2 hours. Please reach out to the Barclays Support team of you are still unable to connect or update your transactions.   

 

Error message : "Something unexpected happened and we couldn’t connect to your bank. Try again in a few hours (590)"

Description : Customers may see this message when attempting to add a new connection 

How to get this resolved 

1. Try the new connection again after 24 hours

2. If the error message still displays this may mean there may be an notification against your bank account. Please contact Barclays to resolve this before trying to connect again.     

 

HSBC Business Banking 

Error message : "Something isn't working. An error occurred connecting you accounts. Please try again" 

Error codes : 101, 355, 590, 9999

Description : Some customers may see these codes when connecting or updating transactions 

How to get this resolved : HSBC have identified an issue for customers with special characters in their username (.,:_-]) that may result in one of the error codes listed above

Update : 

- HSBC is targeting 30-Jun to resolve this issue. 

- HSBC are now targeting 31-Jul to resolve this issue.
