Hi Paul. While the app is designed for speed, delays typically occur due to high server traffic or a build-up of cached data clogging the sync process. Refreshing your app data will help restore its performance.
To speed up receipt capture and clear the pending backlog, go to the Menu (≡), select Settings, then tap Refresh Data and select Yes. This clears the internal sync queue without deleting your photos. If receipts consistently fail to extract, delete and reinstall the app to ensure you are using the latest version.
Even if the mobile app appears to be stuck, your data may have already been sent to the cloud. Log in to QuickBooks on a computer and navigate to Transactions and click Receipts to check if they are waiting in the For Review tab.
Refreshing your app data and checking the web portal shifts you from a waiting state to an active review. Once the cache is cleared, uploads should return to the standard function, with a few minutes for the program to extract vendor and VAT details. This ensures your Categorized list stays current.
