UK based how can I get my mileage to show on P & L in self employed without creating figure twice?

Hi there, theholistichamper. Allow me to give you clarifications about showing your mileage on your Profit and Loss (P&L).

Currently, the option to include mileage in the P&L report is unavailable. However, you can view your mileage deduction in the Vehicle Expenses under the Taxes menu.

It's important to note, that the Profit and Loss report lists your travel and vehicle expenses, but it doesn’t specifically include mileage. QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) uses a standard method to calculate your mileage deductions and the taxes you estimate on business travels.

With that said, it’s a good practice to track all your vehicle expenses in QuickBooks to keep thorough records.

For more info, you can check this article:  Car mileage and travel expenses explained in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Moreover, I'm adding this resource to help you add a trip to QuickBooks Self-Employed: Manually track mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Our team is poised to support your journey. For any queries or additional assistance regarding your QBSE mileage, please use this communication channel. We value your consideration and are enthusiastic about helping you elevate the QuickBooks user experience.
