Warning Message - Pension Scheme requires authorisation



I am running a new payroll in Advance QB and I have received the following warning message, 'Pension Scheme requires authorisation'. When I click to authorise, a new page opens and i get the below message: refused to connect.


Please advise on how to fix this issue.

To move past the error, we’ll have to perform the browser troubleshooting. This is the initial step to take when you experience unusual behavior in QBO.

Let’s start by accessing your company using the InPrivate or incognito mode. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

Here's how to bring up one:


  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox).
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + P (Internet Explorer).
  • Press Command + Shift + N (Safari)

From there, process the authorization for your Pension Scheme. If you’re able to authorize smoothly, remove the stored data by clearing the cache.
