If you have connected your bank account to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) via Open Banking, updating your bank connection is a requirement for the Open Banking standard, which ensures secure banking practices. As a result, you will need to reconfirm your consent every 90 days to download your latest bank transactions:
- On the left navigation panel, go to Transactions.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Add transaction.
- Select Manage accounts.

- Locate the name of the bank you need to re-authenticate, then click Authenticate account.
- Follow the prompts to complete the re-authentication process.
