Am I able to post the last two year's worth of opening balances into my new client's QB account, please?

In addition to the option above, one of the workaround is creating a journal entry.

 

See Create a journal entry as your guide. Also, you can check this article as your reference on how to change the opening balance of a bank account.

Yes, you can, hello15.

 

I'll walk you through on how to enter the last two year's worth of opening balances.

  1. Go to the Accounting tab and select Charts of Accounts.
  2. Locate the account. From the Action column, select View Register.
  3. Click the Add deposit drop-down and select Deposit.
  4. Enter the opening balance date on the Date field.
  5. On the Account field, select Opening Balance Equity.
  6. On the Deposit field, enter the amount. Then, Save.

Thank you for your response. I do not, however, have "View register" as an option. Is it possible to put a journal on for the trial balance for the past two years? Will that work?
