Bug in balance sheet report.

How do I 'expand' the item 'Provision for liabilities and charges' in the balance sheet. Only the total shows - there is no '>' to expand.

Bug in balance sheet report.

I appreciate you for informing us of your experience when running the balance sheet report, John.

It appears that you're running the Balance Sheet Detail report in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I can guide you through the troubleshooting steps we can perform to resolve the Provision for liabilities and charges account not expanding in the report.

Since the accumulation of cache and cookies can lead QBO to become unresponsive, I recommend initially signing in to your account through your browser's incognito mode. Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Shift + Command + N

After this, run the Balance Sheet Detail report once more. If this works, proceed to clear your browser's cache. This process will remove and fix specific issues and help the program run optimally. Additionally, you can use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.

If you need to save the customisations in the report, let me add this article as a guide: Memorise reports in QuickBooks Online

Keep us posted if the problem of the liability account not expanding in the report persists. We're committed to offering ongoing support. Take care.
