CA & CL not showing on the Account Type list

Good Day,

I'm trying to add a new account to my chart of accounts, the problem is in the account type drop-down list, There is no Current Asset / Current Liability.

There are only, other current assets & other current liabilities.. how to fix that? Capture.JPG

That's strange @Batool1

This is not much help but, I have two accounts, and they both show the same options but completely different to yours...

Hi Batool1, thanks for your post - do you see the same options when logging in via a private browsing/incognito window? You can access this by pressing Ctrl-Shift-N at once within Google Chrome or MS edge. :)

CA & CL not showing on the Account Type list

Hi Georgia,

Thank you for your reply.

I have tried, but same issue, I still can't find Current assets & current liabilities in my account type list.

Is there any other way to fix this??

Thanks for updating us on this, Batool1. I know it can be challenging when you can't find the Current Assets and Current Liabilities in your Account Type list. Let me ensure this gets investigated.

Since the recommended solution didn't resolve the issue, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They're equipped with tools to check the cause. It'll also allow them to submit a ticket to our engineering team to alert them about the issue if necessary.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon.
  2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
  3. Enter unauthorized charges in the Type something field, then click the send icon.
  4. Select I still need a human.
  5. Click Get help from a human.
  6. You can either select the Live Chat or Call me back option.

I'd suggest checking out our support hours before proceeding. This way, you'll be assisted on time.

Additionally, I've included these articles that'll help you learn more about managing and organising your Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Online:

I'm only a few clicks away if you need assistance in setting up accounts in QuickBooks, Batool1. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
