Hi,
I am self employed, not a Limited company.
I donate to my local church from my business and put under charitable donations, but my church isn't a charity and I have learnt that these expenses are on my balance sheet as an expense and I don't think they should be.
How and what should these be under in chart of accounts and am I allowed to donate to a non charity through my business account? I will put this right depending what it is.

Hello Accounts-2upc-co, thanks for posting on the Community page, we would advise you speak to an accountant in regards to this they will be able to advise and guide you on what you should enter in as and what category to put it to as we are not trained accountants just technical support.
