How to avoid the trial balance of showing zero balance accounts?

Hello there, feprimafi.

I've got steps to ensure you have a clearer view of the data when running the Trial balance report in QuickBooks Online.

I recommend customising the said statement to personalise its details. Also, it helps you to avoid showing zero balance accounts.

Here's how:

  1. Open the Trial balance report.
  2. Click the Customise button.
  3. Choose the Rows/Columns drop-down arrow.
  4. Go to the Show non-zero or active only box and select Non-zero in both Show rows and columns.
  5. Click Run report.

You can refer to this article for additional informaiton: Customise reports in QuickBooks Online.

In case you need steps to memorise a report that allows you to save it with its current customisation settings, you can read this article: Memorise reports in QuickBooks Online.

For any other reports concerns or questions about managing them in QuickBooks, please don't hesitate to let me know in the Reply section below. I'm always ready to help you out, feprimafi.
