How to run P&L in DR and CR format in QBO?

Hello there, Gnanathiban. The Profit and Loss report doesn't show the DR and CR format. Instead, you can run and customize a Transaction Detail by Account to create a similar format in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To achieve this, filter the report to only show the income and expense accounts under Profit and Loss. However, it won’t display the totals for income, expenses, or net profit. You’ll need to export it and manually calculate these figures then group the categories. Here's how:

1. Open Reports and search for Transaction Detail by Account.
2. Click on the Customize button.
3. In the Columns section, check only the boxes for Debit and Credit.
4. Go to the Filter section. In the first dropdown, select Distribution Account. Set the second dropdown to Equals and choose All Income/Expense Accounts in the last dropdown.
5. Select the Distribution Account in the Groups section.
