I'd be glad to share information on how to un-file a CIS return, @scottjess16.
When you submit a CIS return in QuickBooks, all the transactions in that period will be closed. If you need to make some adjustments to any of the CIS transactions, you un-file your return first.
To do this, simply proceed to the Taxes menu. Here's how:
- Select Taxes and choose CIS.
- Click View Return on the period you wish to unfile. Note: If you need to unfile multiple returns, do them one at a time starting with the most recent submission.
- Choose Un-file. A message will appear asking you to confirm.
- Select Yes if you would like to continue.
- Click Done.
