I would like to create a report of a tax year breaking it down so that I can see what I spent in what categories between a certain time frame. Eg. 01/04/21-31/03/22

Hello there, daretodig.

 

Let's achieve your goal together. To create a report that indicates your tax year breakdown expense and categories in a certain time frame.

 

We'll need to run a Profit and Loss report to view what you spent in a specific time frame. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. In the left panel select Reports.
  2. Click and enter in the search box Profit and Loss.
  3. On the upper right corner tap Customise.
  4. In the Report period section enter the start and end dates of when you want to view the tax you spent. 
  5. To specify the report for spent or expense only click Filter, tick the dropdown arrow beside Distribution Account and scroll down then select All Expense.
  6. Review what other customisation you want to include in the report, and then click Run report.

 

Once done, if you want to view the transaction type of the expense. You can click the amount beside it and you'll be routed to the Transaction report.

 

Furthermore, if you want to view the category, clicking again the amount beside it in the Transaction report will route you to the Category details.
