Let me share some information about the Audit Log feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO), knott72-btintern.
QBO keeps track of your activities in the audit log and the option to delete it is unavailable. This feature records all your financial transactions in your chart of accounts, all account activity in the audit log such as user sign-ins, changes to QuickBooks settings, edits to customers, suppliers, employees, and payroll submissions. QuickBooks records the following in the audit log:
- The date of any change to your books
- The name of the user who made the change
- The type of change or event
- The name of any customer or supplier related to the change
- Any original transaction date and amount
To learn more about this one, check out this article: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online. Once you delete a transaction, there's no way to restore it. However, using the Audit Log, we can recover the details of the deleted transaction so you can re-enter it.
