Hello there, Angela118.
May I know which specific report you are trying to access? It will help me provide a resolution to your issue.
Please note that standard reports such as Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet for both the Last Financial Year and This Financial Year should be available under the Report Period.
Since you’re unable to see the This Financial Year option in the QuickBooks Online report period, this can be caused by browser-related issues.
We recommend accessing your QBO account in a private or incognito window to avoid issues caused by cached files. Additionally, consider using a different supported browser to improve compatibility and performance.
Please let me know if you have other concerns, Angela118.
In the IOS App, profit and loss report (also shown as “profitability”), you can select “this year”, or “last financial year”, but not “this financial year”.
I’v just gone through old emails, and back in March 2021, I reported a bug that the “profit and loss report dashboard” (as it was) said “this financial year”, but when you clicked on it, it switched to “this year”.
At a minimum, we should be able to see “last financial year” and “this financial year” (without having to customise dates each time).
Having the quick option to view “last year” and “this year” would be a bonus.
The “balance sheet” report in IOS currently works the same as the “profit and loss report”, so no quick option for “this financial year” (you have to select dates manually)
Thanks for joining this thread, James Read.
I appreciate you reaching out and providing such a detailed breakdown of the reporting shortcuts, and flagging the history of this request dating back to 2021. It helps me understand the context and the persistence of this gap in the mobile experience.
I can certainly understand how an ability to display This Financial Year instead of This Year could be useful and have submitted a feature request about it as of today.
You can also submit your own feedback while signed in with a web browser.
Here's how:
Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates page.
I've also included a detailed resource about working with profit and loss reports which may come in handy moving forward: Run a profit & loss comparison report
Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a great Wednesday!
