Hi there, kell. This happens when the Service Date setting is toggled off in your invoice settings. To fix this, you'll need to jump onto a web browser, as this specific toggle isn't available directly within the mobile app.
Here is how to get that date back on your invoices:
- Log in to QBO via a web browser.
- Go to Settings (the gear icon) and select Account and Settings.
- Click the Sales tab on the left menu.
- In the Sales form content section, click the pencil icon to edit.
- Toggle Service date to On.
- Click Save and then Done.

Once you’ve enabled this on the web, the Service Date field will automatically appear as a line-item option when you create invoices in the mobile app.
