Hi there, @goat21-hotmail-c.

I'd be glad to share the steps on how to delete payments that are linked to invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO). That way, you can record them when the time is right.

Let's open again the invoice and click the payment link on the top right corner of its window. Then, select again another link under Date to view the transaction.

This will route you to the actual invoice payment. From there, click More and select Delete. Finally, click Yes to confirm and delete the payment.

Moreover, you can use reports to get helpful insights on the things you buy and sell, and the status of your stock. This article will show you which to run depending on what kind of info you want to see: Use reports to see your sales and stock status.

You can also visit our website to check for tips and other resources for future reference: Self-help articles.

That should do it. Please let me know if you need further assistance in deleting transactions or any other QuickBooks-related concerns. I'll be here to help you out. Have a nice day.
