Hi. In Expenses, how can I see expenses only for this tax year or for last tax year? Now the app clusters all together and I cannot separate them. Thanks

Hello there. Let me share insights regarding viewing last year's or this year's expenses in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Note that when using the QBO app, you can only see all the expenses from your first expense until the recent expense you made. It is because filtering dates are unavailable in the QBO app. With this, I suggest using a browser when working with your QBO. In the browser, you can filter the dates to only show the last year's or this year's expenses. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Expenses, and hit the Filter.
  2. For the Date, click the Custom dropdown and select Last 12 months.
  3. You can also edit the From and To sections and choose the period you want to pull up.
  4.  Once done, click Apply

Moreover, I suggest visiting this link as your reference in understanding more about bills inside QBO: Learn the difference between bills, cheques, and expenses in QuickBooks Online

Reply below for more questions about managing expenses in QBO. I'll get back to you. Take care!
