How do I create an invoice that shows tax deductible

It's my pleasure to guide you in creating an invoice that shows a deductible tax, Pollock.

Firstly, you can add and show the tax-deductible on the invoice once you've set up and use the VAT feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you want to create an invoice with taxes, we can automate your VAT calculation. I'd be glad to show you how:

  1. Follow the usual steps to create an invoice.
  2. Make sure the Location of the sale is correct.
  3. If you ship ordered items, add the Shipping toShip viaShipping dateTracking no. info so QuickBooks knows where to charge your VAT.
  4. Check your taxable items in the VAT column. Note: If you haven't already, add tax categories to your products and services. This way, QuickBooks lets you know what's taxable and what isn't.
  5. Once done, click Save and send.

However, if you want to create a CIS transaction to calculate the CIS withheld, you can follow these steps:

  1. Select +New to create an Invoice
  2. Select the contractor. QuickBooks will use your CIS rate to calculate the CIS to deduct (CIS suffered). If you're charging for materials on this job, you can add these too.
  3. Once done, select Save and close.

Lastly, I'm adding these helpful articles you can browse just in case you need them:

I'll be around anytime in this forum if there's anything else you require additional assistance with when creating invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me know below so I can provide further help.
