Hi mary.johnson

To be able to invoice using a different currency, you'll need to enable Multicurrency in QuickBooks, then set up a foreign customer. Every time you create invoices or receipts for that customer, it'll use the currency set up in his/her profile.

Thank you and have a good day.

Hi
We are planning to migrate from xero to Quickbooks

Before getting into the implementation of Quickbooks I am trying to learn few basic things

We use multiple currencies in raising invoices or sometimes we have to make in other currency to our supplier

First for sale invoice: We use USD as our basic currency and charging our customer in USD but the implementation of VAT we're required by law to issue invoices in AED. Please also note that our customers pay us in USD. Since our default currency to our client is assigned USD i cannot create sales invoice in AED (is there any other way that we can show both currencies on the invoice or alternative way to raise an invoice in AED)

For purchase invoice: we receive invoices from a supplier in EURO, CZK, AED etc but we make payments in a different currency using the exchange rate

sorry if my explanation is not good

Thanks

Is it possible to invoice in Euros from Quickbooks self employed?

It's great to have you here, @ipp1981.

QuickBooks Self-Employed invoicing feature is currently a simplified version using Pound Sterling (£). The ability to send invoice using other currency is currently not available. What you can do is to create the invoice in Pound and add a note in the invoice to denote the foreign exchange rate for Pound Sterling (£) = Euro €.

On the other hand, I'd recommend keeping an eye on our blog, which is where major QuickBooks updates are first announced: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/blog/.
