I'd be glad to help you upload receipts in QuickBooks Online, @michael-size-weg.

You can enter, attach, and track expense receipts and bills you capture with your phone or email to QuickBooks. It also supports PDFs and jpeg, jpg, gif, or png image formats.

Here's how:

  1. Open a web browser, then sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. From the left menu, choose Banking.
  3. Go to the Receipts tab.
  4. Drag and drop the receipt or bill file directly into QuickBooks Online. Or select Browse to upload them.

If you're using a mobile device to add receipts and bills, here's how:

  1. Install the QuickBooks Online app.
  2. Open the app, then tap the Menu ≡.
  3. Select Receipt snap.
  4. Choose the Receipt Camera and snap a photo of your receipt.
  5. Select Use this photo, then tap Done.

Hi there,

I have uploaded some 200 PDFs as receipts in expenses.

I noticed the fields (supplier, figures etc) are not extracted.

Does the system not scan for these and they have to be manually inputted with PDFs?

The scan camera receipt does work all OK and does extract the fields.

Many thanks

Mark

Thanks for using QuickBooks Online (QBO), Mark.

The option to automatically scan for the supplier name in uploading receipts isn't possible. You'll have to manually review the receipt and select a supplier. Let me show you how.

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Select the Receipts tab.
  3. Click the Review link to view and review the receipts.
  4. Fill in the needed details and click Save and next.

Once done, you can now categorise and track your expenses seamlessly in your QBO account. To be guided, you can refer to this article: Capture and categorise expense receipts and bills in QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, you can look for a third-party app that has this feature. You can go to the Apps menu or visit our QuickBooks App store for reference.

Moreover, I'm adding this handy resource for guidance: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. This can walk you through the steps in matching your bank and QuickBooks balance seamlessly.

Let me know in your comment if you have other concerns managing your receipts and expenses. I'm just a post away from you. Keep safe!
