I cant find some of my invoices for a particular client. I dont copy myself in the email so csnt find them that way. Is there a way to find sent emails?

I cant find some of my invoices for a particular client. I dont copy myself in the email so csnt find them that way. Is there a way to find sent emails?

Hi, team-aglheating-.

 

I know a way how to check sent invoices through email in QuickBooks Online.

 

You can either utilize the Audit log or run a Transaction List by Customer report and personalise it to see which was sent.

 

Like this:

 

  1. Go to Reports menu.
  2. Search and select Transaction List By Customer.
  3. Set the report period.
  4. Click the Customise button.
  5. Filter the transaction type for Invoices.
  6. Add the Sent for the report's columns
  7. Once done, hit Run Report.

 

This report will now show you all of the invoices that have been sent or need to be sent. This enables you to review the invoice you sent to a specific customer. For more information on customizing reports, you can check out this article: Customise reports in QuickBooks Online.

 

I've also added this link for future reference in emailing and printing multiple sales forms in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks Archie, I cant seem to find a transaction list by customer in the drop down list?

 

I went to reports, custom, the clicked the tab.

I'm here to add insights about the reports you're looking for and how you'll be able to find your invoice that was sent through email.

 

The Transaction List by Customer report is only available for QuickBooks Online Essentials, Advanced, and Plus subscriptions. It might be that the current subscription you have is Simple start. If you want to check your subscription, you read this article: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

 

Going back to your goal to find the sent emails of your invoice. There's a way to view it without running the Transaction List by Customer report. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Sales tab.
  2. Select either All sales or Invoices.
  3. Find the invoices you want to check the email if it's sent successfully. Click the invoice.
  4. After that Invoice activity will show. If the email is sent, there will be a green dot beside it.
