I pulled off 'CIS 300 Summary Report', but this is top line, I need this broken out by invoice and showing invoice numbers and dates. Can this be done?

I hope you can help. A supplier of ours requested a CIS report and I pulled off the 'CIS 300 Summary Report'. They then came back to me stating they cannot accept top line figures and they require the report to show each invoice within that time period on each line. I have tried to build this, but with no success.

I'm struggling to manually build this because the figures I'm manually pulling from their invoices do not total up the same and I cannot see why without the CIS report breakdown.

Off subject slightly, but...
I really would love it if you had a report builder function where we can drop and build our own reports (bit like pivot table style). Please can you let me know if this is possible to pull off from your reports system?

Thank you

It's my pleasure to help you run a report, AdamR8974.

You can run the CIS Suffered Summary report and choose the correct filter to see your invoice transactions. However, the invoice number is unavailable to be shown on the report.

Here's how:

  1. On the Report page, type CIS Suffered Summary.
  2. Select Customise.
  3. Under the Report period, filter the dates.
  4. Click Filter.
  5. Select the All dropdown arrow beside Transaction Type.
  6. Click Invoice, then select Run report.

As a workaround, you can run the Transaction Detail by Tax Code report to view the details you want to be shown.

Here's how:

  1. On the Reports page, enter Transaction Detail by Tax Code.
  2. Click Customise, then filter the dates.
  3. Select the Rows/Columns, then click Change columns.
  4. Tick the Date, Transaction Type, and No.
  5. Click Filter, then click Transaction type.
  6.  Beside Transaction Type, select the All dropdown arrow, then tick Invoice.
  7. Click Run report.

Furthermore, if you want to export the report and other data from QuickBooks, visit this helpful guide for future reference: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

You can always get back to me here if you have other questions about the report. I'll be around to lend a hand. Stay safe!
