There are only certain data that can be switched over when you move from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Sole Trader, johnbig10.
Please note that once you upgrade to Sole Trader, you will no longer be able to access your QuickBooks Self-Employed account, and some data, such as invoices, cannot be transferred automatically.
If you’ve backed up your data before switching, you can manually import it into your Sole Trader account.
Here’s what you can import:
- Bank Data.
- Invoices.
- Products and Services.
- Customers.
To manually import your data, please follow these steps:
- Sign in to Sole Trader.
- Go to Settings ⚙ and select Import data.

- Select the record type you want to import and click Import.

- Select Browse to upload the CSV file from your computer.

- Select Next.
- Match the fields to the correct categories.
- Select Done.
