Thanks for getting back to me greg70,

Once multi-currency is enabled the symbol will be replaced by the currency acronym - can I check if you've entered the £ symbol on the imported invoice template?

As there's no EZ mapping field for currencies, the symbol won't update when selecting a different currency (customer) on the invoice  - a workaround to this would be to import separate custom invoices with the separate currency symbol on each.

Hello and Welcome to the Community, greg70 👋

The currency symbol is not a custom field on the invoice but the correct currency abbreviation will automatically show on the invoice print/preview once this is generated and is based on the currency of the customer selected.

If you would prefer for the option of a symbol to show here, we'd be grateful if you could leave a feedback request for this by going to the Cogwheel > Feedback within your account.🙇‍♀️

Hi Georgia and thanks for the reply.

Maybe I wasn't quite clear. If I run an invoice using one of the standard QuickBooks forms, the amounts show with a currency symbol, eg £100.00.  But, if we use an imported custom invoice form (that I created in Word), it maps the exact same fields but it displays as 100.00.

Is it just not possible to have the currency display on an imported custom invoice?

Thanks,

Greg

Thanks again for your reply. We don't use multi-currency, and in the Settings our currency is showing correctly as GBP/£. I just want to have the currency symbol (£) show up on the invoice so that all cash amounts show as £xxx.xx rather than xxx.xx, just like the same fields do on the standard QuickBooks templates.

If it's the case that I need to add a "£" symbol to my custom invoice template in Word (have I understood you correctly?), how would that work??  For example, if I add a "£" symbol in front of the mapped field (ie outside the brackets, which it would have to be so that the field name still maps correctly), surely any additional item lines generated on an invoice would still not show the "£"?

How do the standard QuickBooks invoice templates manage to do this without a problem?

Ah, it's *possible* the issue was just me being a bit stupid!  I changed the Word template to include the "£" and sure enough QuickBooks duplicates it as any new item lines are added; in short it works perfectly (I'd just assumed it wouldn't, but it does)

Thanks for your patience!

Was there an answer to this? I have mulit-currency selected but the £ symbol is not on my invoices just GBP.
