Is it possible to add a note or memo to a Product which is for office reference only ie not to show on a PO or customer invoice?

This is a great idea, ann22.

 

Adding notes to products for internal use is unavailable. I'll surely send this feedback to our product developers. We gather data about features the customers needs the most and do our best to include it on the next updates.

Is it possible to add a note or memo to a Product which is for office reference only ie not to show on a PO or customer invoice?

This feature used to be available, and I now notice it has been removed. I used it to add the weights of products we sell to use to calculate postage. I see that all my weights have been removed and I am going to spend the afternoon weighing things.

It would be nice to know when you remove things!!

Is this feature going to be added as it would be incredibly useful? Surely its not that difficult to add, especially as it seems it was already available but was later removed. What was the reason for it being removed?

I understand the urgency of having a built-in feature like this to further help you and your business. At this time, there's no set date for when this option will be available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). While we appreciate your input, it is subject to review and approval by our software engineers. 

 

That said, I encourage you to submit feedback to our product developers to request the implementation of this attribute in the future. Here's how:

 

  1. In your QBO account, navigate to the Gear icon.
  2. Next, select the Feedback option.
  3. Enter and share your feedback, then click Next to submit.
