I am launching an event ticketing website, which means that event organisers create events on my platform, sell their tickets (in which my service fee is included) and then I send their payout after the event (excluding my service fee).
So I am not literally invoicing my event organisers to receive my money (except for a few other minor services). In addition to this, I will be receiving payments from attendees in 2 currencies (GBP and EUR).
In this case it seems complicated for me to add customers in my quickbooks dashboard, and I am having a hard time figuring out how to make the most of Quickbooks in my case. However, I still need an accounting solution to help me track my profits, expenses and do my taxt assessments.
Can someone help me make the most of it in my particular case?
Hi there, amansoni. I'm here to share some information about how QuickBooks works.
Both QuickBooks Online and Desktop are designed to help you manage your business finances. Basically, these are things that you can do with QuickBooks:
The two programs can also track transactions in foreign currency. The Multicurrency feature allows you to assign a specific currency type to your customers and vendors. Additionally, if you plan to use QuickBooks alone, you may need to use third-party integrations since the program is unable to handle the event and event organizer-related transactions.
We recommend you choose the plan with the feature set that meets your business needs today. To compare the features of QuickBooks Online and Desktop, you can read our QuickBooks Comparison Guide.
You may also use the links below to play with our test drives. This will help you determine what's the best software for you.
If I can be of any additional assistance, please don't hesitate to add a comment below. Have a great rest of the day.
