Record refund for expense from different Accounting year

Hi, 

 

I'm a Sole Trade using QBO Simple Start and wanted to know how to record a refund (Expense)  but the original expense was in a different Accounting year and using different Accounting software.

Hi One Auto

 

You would have to record the refund as a deposit and allocate the category to the category/item that the initial expense related to.
