It's my pleasure to help you troubleshoot your invoice concern, chrisholmes.
The possible reason why your customer's name doesn't show on the dropdown box on your invoice is that it was set up as inactive.
To ensure your customers were not being set up inactive, you can follow these steps:
- Go to Sales, then click Customers.
- Select the small Gear icon.
- In the Other, tick the Include inactive.
From there, you can select Make Inactive so your customer will show up in the invoice dropdown box.
If your customers are not inactive, I recommend opening your account in incognito mode to see if this has something to do with your browser. Whenever you visit a website, it saves some information from the web page in its cache and cookies.
Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used web browsers:
- Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
- Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Safari: Command + Shift + N
After signing in, you can create an invoice again. If this resolves the problem, return to your default browser and clear the cache to refresh the page. Then, start with a clean slate. Alternatively, you can also use other supported browsers.
