When adding an invoice and a product onto the invoice the VAT code will not enter and the invoice cannot be saved

Hi there, w-hewitt.

 

When you say you're unable to enter the VAT code, do you mean the item has no VAT code assigned to it? Or, you can see the VAT code droplist, but you can't select one?

 

The VAT code assigned to your item is the one that will show up on the invoice page. If the item doesn't have an assigned VAT, you can select it from the VAT field of the invoice. I'm happy to walk you through checking the codes assigned to your items.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Products and Services.
  3. Click Edit on the item you sell and go to the Tax field. Assign a VAT, so it will automatically show up when creating an invoice.
  4. Click Save and close. Then, create an invoice after.
