When i get paid by a client via PayPal, the invoice is marked paid, but then when i transfer the money from PayPal to my bank account, how should i assign it within QB?

The sum is less paypal's fee so it needs to be adjusted and the fee noted somewhere.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, Studio-pixelhaus. I'm here to assist in recording your PayPal fee recording inquiry in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To record your PayPal processing fee, you need to categorize it as an expense. Then, once your PayPal transactions go through, you should match to ensure accuracy and consistency in your financial records.

Here's how to create an expense transaction:

  1. Click + New.
  2. Under Suppliers, then choose Expenditures.
  3. Enter the necessary information needed.
  4. Once done, Save and close.

Additionally, these materials will walk you through the method of handling your deposits and other banking-related tasks for additional resources:

After creating the expense transaction, you then have to match the two transactions. You can utilize this article to learn more about matching transactions: Match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have other inquiries or require additional assistance handling your PayPal processing fee transactions in QBO, Studio-pixelhaus. The Community is always around to help. Keep safe!
