Making changes or corrections, such as adjusting the VAT accounting period dates or correcting an error on the return, should be reflected in the next submission.
Deleting a previously filed VAT return is unavailable. You can instead make manual adjustments in your transactions, which will create a VAT exception. QuickBooks automatically creates exceptions once you make changes to a filed return transaction. This allows you to account for the necessary corrections in the next VAT return period.
Accountants have the ability to unfiled a VAT return. If you have an accountant, you can request that they unfiled the VAT return for you.
