Despite selecting no VAT for corporation tax, it’s still showing on the VAT report. My understanding is that all taxes an are outside the scope of vat.

Even though it’s not affecting the amount that we pay to HMRC it is distorting the figures.

You are correct that No VAT items (e.g., corporation tax) should not appear on the VAT Detail Report. Their presence typically indicates an incorrect VAT code applied at the line item level, @info2209.

To fix this, please follow these steps below:

  1. Run your VAT Detail Report.
  2. Click on the amount linked to the corporation tax entry (or any other item that shouldn't be there).
  3. Locate the VAT field and ensure it is set to No VAT.
  4. Save the changes.

Once corrected, these items will no longer appear on your VAT Detail Report, ensuring accurate tax reporting.
