Error attempting to adjust vat return

We are trying to submit our first VAT return and need to make some adjustments. For Box 7 for example we enter an adjustment of £302.70 and put the period end date of 30/06/2020 and reason which is Accountancy fees for the 6 months prior to registration.

When saving the adjustment we get the error -

Something went wrong

Try again now or come back later if you're still having issues.
 
Quickbooks support were unable to shed any light on why this is happening and want us to manually make the changes by creating journal entries. I know this is what the adjust button essentially does but we should really need to do that. Support said they'll look into it but are currently unable to tell me if this is a system-wide issue. Any one else noticed this problem?

We've not been made aware of any issues with this and I've been unable to replicate the error in my test file using Google Chrome.

 

Did our team take you through troubleshooting, such as clearing the cache on the browser you're using, or entering this on another browser or device?

 

If not, it'd be worth giving those a try - if this doesn't fix, please get back to us below and let us know if you have MTD enabled and if you've switched accounting schemes within your current VAT period (e.g. from Cash to Standard).

Error attempting to adjust vat return

We didn't go through the process of clearing the cache but the support person did go through trying it with several browsers and my accountant has also tried it on their computer with the same issue. We've also tried it using the Windows desktop App with the same error. MTD is enabled and there's not been any changes as we only registered as on 1st April 2020 so this is the first return.
