Let me help share information in filing VAT return in QuickBooks Online.
For you to submit a Vat return to HMRC for MTD, you need to have an authorised QuickBooks to interact with HMRC. Before submitting a VAT return for MTD, make sure you've received an email confirmation from HMRC. Since, it takes 72 hours after you have opted in to MTD on HMRC's website.

It's good to hear that you've already set up everything, dj12. We can check if this is caused by a full cache.
A cache temporarily stores your browsing data, so they reload quickly when you revisit a web page. However, if it's full, it can result to a slow loading to non-loading web page, or it could trigger some random errors in QuickBooks.
We can start by logging in to QuickBooks in a private browser. This disables the cache from saving data and it's a good way to check issues caused by a full cache. If you can successfully file your return, you can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. If the same thing happens, you can try other browsers.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. I've just deleted the browser cache across safari and chrome and attempted to file, but still no luck. My QB account doesn't seem to be properly "connected" to HMRC, even though it say's I'm connected in my settings.
Can we just confirm what quarter you are in and that the dates at Hmrc match the quarter in the Quickbooks and that the vat registration number in QuickBooks matches what Hmrc have as well as we have had some people getting this message that had different information at Hmrc side which was blocking us then from connecting.
I am currently in my first quarter of my VAT year, but I am on an annual accounting scheme.
The return I am trying to file is for 2018-19, which for me runs 1 March 2018 - 28 Feb 2019,
Could you please go to the cog wheel, account & settings and advanced. Once there, find the MTD section and disconnect the connection. Please make sure to follow all instructions on the 'learn how to disconnect' article. Once you have done this, please attempt to reconnect again.
So I disconnected.
Then went through the steps of reconnecting, and got through to this screen...
I then clicked on continue, and got this screen (again)...
Still no "Making Tax Digital" showing up in the Taxes section still.
Been through my HMRC account to make sure that is the case...it stipulates I cannot supply my VAT return in any other way other than through MTD compliant software.
I also confirmed that Quickbooks is authorised from HMRC's end as well
