Thanks for turning to the Online Community about submitting the VAT return. Allow me to share some information why you’re unable to file it via MTD.
We’ve received reports that some customers are unable to submit the VAT return electronically. Our product engineers are working on getting this feature back to normal as soon as possible.
In the meantime, you’ll have to contact the HMRC to check for other ways on how file the form on time. While waiting for the permanent fix, I recommend you get in touch with our QBO CareTeam to add your company to the notification list.
Our support specialists will gather your account details in a secure environment. After adding the information, you’ll receive email updates about the issue.
To contact them:
- Go to Help at the top, then click on the Contact Us link.
- In the What can we help you with? window, enter contact support in the field box.
- In the Choose a way to connect with us section, select Chat or Get a callback.
