Hi there, manny-hussain.

Sales or expenses should be entered in QuickBooks Online (QBO), so that the system will generate a VAT return form for MTD and submit it to HMRC.

As a workaround, you can use our bridging solution feature that will help import the final values (9 boxes) of the VAT return from a CSV file into QBO. From there, it can be submitted to HMRC via MTD.

See the QuickBooks MTD bridging solution - FAQ article for more information.

I'm also linking this article that will help you in the future: Submit a VAT return in QuickBooks.

Keep me posted if you have any follow-ups. I'm always around to help. Wishing you a good one.

Thank you so much for your answer Jane. We have not yet entered all the date across into QB so this advice will help greatly. Will have a look at that bridging option. Cheers.
