Can someone PLEASE help me to correctly add a REVERSE CHARGE VAT code in the desktop version of QB.

I have finally got an answer after two days of protracted phone calls with the customer service team in Manila.    The default settings for the RC code in my version of QuickBooks (Desktop Pro 2019) were not correctly configured.  These have been altered and Boxes 1, 4, 6 and 7 on my VAT return are now all populated correctly.  Phew!

I'm using the Online version of QB and I'm unable to create this report "VAT 100". I have been told to used the 'Tax Liability Report' and then breakdown each line. 

I have no opportunity to see 'Boxes 1 , 2,'

When I contact the UK helpdesk they were very helpful but couldn't do anything as I'm using Irish vat codes, which in turn means the US helpdesk are unable to help me?

I have been advised to"Go the VAT or Tax Detail report will show a breakdown of the VAT sales and purchases by the codes, however The Tax Liability Report would probably be the best report to show a breakdown of those rates. You may have to export the two into excel and play around with it to get exactly what your accountant needs." surely there is a easier solution than this. 

Any advise on the IRISH VAT issue would be gratefully received.

If you have a slotuion that works - please can you share the settings you are now using?

I am having the same problem accounting for supplies from 'foriegn vendors' (non-EU / Non-UK) and have not found a working solution

Hi, I'm afraid I no longer use the Desktop version of QB, I'm now using Online, so I can't help.  All I can say is that I remember it being a very long phone call to Support  with a lot of restructuring of my VAT code list required before I could implement the solution QB they gave me.  I would never have solved the issue myself without technical support!
