Let's record your VAT payment, Fernando.
You will see the option to record VAT payments after filing your returns to HMRC. If you've already filed your return outside QuickBooks by using other means, you can mark your return in QuickBooks as filed.
To mark your return as filed:
- Go to Taxes.
- Click Prepare return on the return in concern.
- Review the details and click the drop-down arrow beside Submit to HMRC.
- Select Mark as filed.
To record your tax payment, you can go to the Taxes section again. Then, click Record payment on the period in concern.
You can check your list of tax payments in the Payments tab beside Return.
If you have other concerns about VAT or in QuickBooks in general, feel free to go back to this thread.
