My accountant asked me to reconcile the transactions (previously I hadn't done this and no one seemed to mind) I then went through and reconciled them all and now they are all appearing on my Vat return. What do i do?
Hello there, @Ian. It's a great pleasure helping you with managing your reconciliation concern in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Reconciling past transactions in QuickBooks should not directly affect your VAT return. The reconciliation process is primarily focused on ensuring that your bank transactions match your accounting records.
However, it's important to note that if the reconciled transactions are VT-related and were not previously accounted for in your VAT return, reconciling them could potentially impact your VAT reporting. It's crucial to review the reconciled transactions to ensure that they are correctly categorized for VAT purposes.
